TfW are making minor changes to the timetable from 17 May. These are shown on the home page. There are no major changes. But beware that the 2130 Manchester to Shrewsbury departures are again to be split at Crewe. There is a valid connection time for the ongoing stopper to Shrewsbury, but take care. Many have been abandoned at Crewe. The Crewe to Shrewsbury service leaves at 2219 weekdays and 2216 on Saturdays.
We are deleted to report that the early morning north bound 0531 Shrewsbury to 0619 Crewe now has a proper 10 minute connection at Crewe, leaving at 0629 for Pilladilly. We have been asking for this for many years.
Otherwise there are mainly changes by 1-2 minutes on the existing times, majority of which are northbound. The current 2338 Shrewsbury to Crewe (Cardiff Central to Chester) will leave Shrewsbury 9 minutes earlier at 2329.
We understand that TfW will have some extra services on August Sundays.
